This week's topic: What Movie Do You Wish Had Been a Book First?
This is hard. My favorite movies were books first! All of them! AAAAAAAH!!!
Okay, there was one film I saw not too long ago that, as soon as I walked out of the theater, I asked my sister if there was a book.
Avatar.
James Cameron created the most beautiful and awe inspiring world for his creatures. It was breathtaking, and having no knowledge of the movie before I saw it, I immediately assumed it had been a book first.
Because where else would you find a world like Pandora?
If anyone gets a wild hair and decides to write one, I'll happily read it. I'd love to lose myself in Pandora for longer than a two hour stretch.

Is it sad that I haven't seen this movie yet? Who do you think could've magically captured that world in a book? JK Rowling maybe?
I haven't seen it either... but I will one day!
I haven't seen it either!
Alright, that's it, MOVIE NIGHT! lol
I've seen AVATAR, but I'm not a fan. I thought the movie was gorgeous to look at, but about 40 minutes too long (and I'm not keen on 3D anyway). I know, I know. I get a lot of flack for that opinion, lol. ;D
Intersting answer, though! James Cameron did a good job on the worldbuilding aspect, and there are so many stories and POVs you could explore within Pandora.
That would be, interesting*
Abby, I think I loved the movie so much just because of the world building. The plot was meh. It was just so *beautiful*.
Avatar's a good one. I think mine would have to be STICK IT! because the dialogue was so great and I loved Haley's voice as the narrator.
SUCH a good choice. Even though this movie was absurdly hokey on so many levels, I LOVED IT!!! (And Sam Worthington is way too hot... Seriously... Burns the retinas hot.)
I'd love to see this as a book... Le sigh.
Yeah I'm going to say it, I didn't like Avatar...I thought it was VERY VERY PRETTY but I thought the writing was awful.
That's because James Cameron wrote it when he was a teenager and it totally showed.
You hate me now don't you. I knew it it. I should have kept my mouth shut.
Sam Worthington is to pretty to be kept in a book too.
Right now the on ethat jumps to mind would be JUNO. But it would have been banned in Texas :)
Sorry, couldn't resist.
