Lets have some fun...

So...  I thought it might be fun to do something different today.  I've been considering changing the title of my WIP. (Why I'm so worried about it, I don't know. I know if I get an agent or publisher it may change, but whatever.  Just humor me.)

If you don't know, here's what my WIP is about:

Sixteen-year-old Kate is trapped in a fairy tale, and if she doesn’t escape soon, she’ll lose all her memories. Or worse, she’ll get killed.

Without further ado, I give you options!  Cast your vote, and if you have any brilliant suggestions, leave them in the comments.

Thanks for playing along, lovelies. Have a great weekend!

Gah! I don't know! I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at titles. I don't think the ones above fit for this story--which sounds AWESOME, btw. :) I think maybe you should do some kind of play on My Fair Lady. Not sure what, but I kind of like the ring to that...

I vote Happily Never After.

Thanks, guys! <3

I thought Happily Never After had the most commercial appeal.

I liked Happily Never After, too. Also, this is a great idea. I've been debating on the title of my own WIP. I might have to copy you and run a poll :)

Thanks, Alicia. :)

Leah, I figured why not go for some input. lol Plus, it's fun to hear what a title with meaning to me may mean to someone without knowledge of the story.

BSSS makes a lot of sense once you get into the story, but I think HNA tells someone perusing a title MUCH more about your story.

Thanks, Kat. I agree. :)

Um, as the creator behind HAPPILY NEVER AFTER, I think you know which one I chose!!!

:D :D

I would've said Happily Never After, but I think it has *too* much commercial appeal... and I feel like I've heard of it before. Plus the (original) phrase is kind of cliche.
I see in your poll I'm the only who chose your original title (Because She Says So). :)

Hahaha, Susan gets FULL credit for suggesting HNA as my title. ;)

Yahong, There is a movie titled HNA, so you probably have heard it before.

Hi there! *waves*

I found you in Ali's dojo (I'm doing NiNo ReMo this month as well).

You're WIP sounds very interesting; I voted Happily Never After. :)

Hi, Jessica! Thanks for voting!

Fun. I voted for Happily Never After. Is there a specific fairy tale she is stuck in? Maybe a title that suggests the original fairy tale.

Holly Hill said...

Thanks, Carrie. No, it's not a specific fairy tale that she's stuck in. It's kinda a mash-up of lots of fairy tales.

Gah! I hate titles! Wish I could help, but even brainstorming is making me anxious! :p

I like the word Trapped, though. Maybe working that in somehow?

I like Happily Never After :) It sounds like it should be something that screams FAIRY TALES. Maybe a play on 'Once Upon a Time'?

I love play-on-word titles, and Happily Never After sounds perfect. I'd definitely pick up a book with that title. :)

I refuse to vote because I would definitely pick the wrong one! My titles suck horribly and yes, I pray for an agent who comes up with much, much, much better ones!! Good luck!
